No sleeping in this morning - this is Alfesta! Rise and shine and join the other Alfisti for a full hot and cold buffet breakfast in the Conservatory, located on the ground floor of the hotel.
Daily Briefing
OK, we're in the groove now; it's briefing time again. During the daily briefing we outline the schedule for the day and take care of any administration issues.
Morning - Show 'n Shine
If you didn't take the opportunity to clean your Alfa yesterday, now is the time for a quick tidy-up before we head off to our Shown 'n Shine venue.
The Show 'n Shine will be held in the TAFE oval behind the Cobb & Co Museum. Enter via Campbell Street. All cars should be in place by 10am.
If you wish your car to be judged, please ensure you have your copy of the score sheet displayed prominently on your windscreen or dashboard for the judges to use.
Queens Park is just across the road if you fancy a pleasant stroll through its gardens.
Lunch
Lunch for Alfesta attendees will be in the Cobb & Co Museum Cafe. Your Alfesta Activity Package includes entry to the museum, which houses an extensive collection of horse-drawn carriages. At the time of Alfesta the Museum will also be hosting an "Australians in Space" exhibit, an interesting contrast to its permanent collection!
Afternoon - Free time
After lunch, your time is your own to check out some of the great sights around Toowoomba.
Note: For those who have indicted interest in the afternoon guided walking tour, this will depart from the Burke and Wills Hotel at 2:30pm - cost $40 per person paid to the tour guides (this tour is not an official Alfesta activity).
Gala Dinner
The highlight of Alfesta is the traditional Gala Dinner held in the Allan Cunningham room at the Burke and Wills Hotel.
Apart from the fine food and sparkling company, you will be entertained by a live band and be able to dance the night away.
The winners of the Alfesta trophies will be announced and there will be a short presentation about Alfesta 2024 to whet your appetite for next year!
